Finally, in weeks 7, 8, and 9 I see some hair growth. Coming in quick now, and it is so nice to see. It is pretty crazy this whole process. Two months ago, I was completely bald; no eyebrows, no eyelashes, no hair anywhere. Now, day by day, week by week I can see a difference. I am excited and it is a good feeling.
This experience is absolutely helping me with my patience. When I was diagnosed I had to come to terms with the fact that I did not just have a cold and I would not just get better in a week. This was going to be a marathon…this was going to be for the long hall and I had to learn very quickly how to have patience. Coming to terms with it, did truly help me. I knew it was not going to be easy. I realized I was going to struggle sometimes. So, when those days came I think I was much more stronger than I would have been if I did not understand what was happening to me.
